The beautiful Saint George's church stands near the middle of Jesmond, towering over both the older houses - in this example, Lindisfarne Road....

and the new, such as Adderstone Crescent: our flat is on the top floor of the centre block, largely behind the tree - but as I type this I am looking out of the window to the right of the tree.
