This shoot of a 'make-over' session was deliberately lit for effect: the intention was to provide the make-up artist with a series of 'before', 'during' and 'after' shots and to give the model some 'after' shots. The 'before' shots were given an unflattering harsh side light; the 'during' were lit with a simple diffused overhead top box; the 'after' used a three-part silvered reflector below the model. For speed this was shot on an SLR with an 80-200mm zoom, using Kodak Tri-X Pan 400: this still produced adequate 10x8 finished prints.
