By mid August the bench is in place (no greenhouse yet!), the top four beds are growing, the middle two are almost ready to plant, and the bottom two are roughly dug and covered in weed suppressing membrane:
The white gauze is to protect the young plants from pests and to help retain moisture. Two of the three rows of peas in the next picture are still under it:
